FAMILY ATELIER AND CRAFTSMANSHIP

NOIRANCA is about adding a unique flair of femininity to your daily fits, and that all comes down to the exquisite quality of our bags. Working with a family atelier on vegan leather bags, our collection of bags transcends beyond its quality, into profound heritage and culture.

Our passion in sartorial heritage has prompted us to deliberately bring handcrafted bags back to light, albeit the complexity behind. This belief took us to working with a 50-year-old atelier where it is currently run by the family’s second-generation siblings. The 30 artisans – all with expertise and rich experience in leather-making – are the people who bring NOIRANCA bags to life, if not at its finest.

With furs of contrasting colors, the atelier’s household cat Lunar seamlessly blends into the black-and-white notion of NOIRANCA. Don’t ever underestimate a cat’s ability, she’s in fact the “Quality Assurance Manager” of the workshop.

"It’s real people, real hands, behind each NOIRANCA."

The family atelier crafts vegan leather bags par excellence, for they attain a strict set of family values, and as well, strive for perfection. The space is infused with clattering sounds of sewing machines and hammerings, which in a sense, surprisingly creates a soothing symphony.

Following their parents’ footsteps, a number of artisans have been crafting leather products as young apprentices. And under the masterful steer of the owner, traditional craft finds its way emerging into modern chicness, eventually. Precision is fundamental in the atelier, coupled with the utmost attention to details – especially the debossed NOIRANCA logo.

"It is our bloodline."

The technique of leather-crafting is the paramount essence in its inheritance. "You may think that making bags with hands is time-consuming, but to us it is our bloodline," he attests. He then proffered the ALICE bag as we appreciate the luxe texture and its delicate details. "That’s 50 years of handcrafting, [laughter] half a century," he continued.

Combining supple vegan leather with avant-garde shapes, the artisans make wonders happen with their skilled hands. And as prestigious fashion houses produce handbags in massive automatic production lines, it is almost impossible to find a brand that embraces the intricacy of traditional craftsmanship; NOIRANCA, however, dares to be one.

"We got to impart artisanal art to our children."

By working with a family-run atelier in a small town, not only are we supporting local economy, but also keeping heritage techniques alive for the next generation of craftspeople. The art of handcrafted handbags is so culturally rooted to become the relic of the past; thus we stick firmly to producing handbags by hand.
